Examination papers for the John Stewart of Rannoch Scholarships in Sacred Music, 1977

Peter Tranchell devised and produced these examination papers for the John Stewart of Rannoch Scholarships in Sacred Music, 1977, including twelve musical extracts in his own hand. Thanks to Richard Abram for sending his paper copies. Richard was awarded the senior scholarship in that year (despite, he recalls, perpetrating consecutive fifths in the Croft (see below); a matter that was discussed in the subsequent keyboard practical and debriefing in PAT's rooms), the junior going to Ivor Bolton. Peter was himself awarded the scholarship in 1947.
