Sonatina for Organ, written for Martin Neary June 1964, revised September 1967

The Sonatina for Organ was written for Martin Neary in 1964, then revised in 1967. This typeset edition published here is a faithful reproduction of the revised version.

Martin Neary, who went on to become Organist and Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral and then Westminster Abbey, was the incumbent organ scholar when PAT succeeded Professor Patrick Hadley as Precentor in 1962.

The Sonatina was played by Francesca Massey during the Tranchell Commemoration Weekend in 2005, and the (sadly poor quality) live recording is made available here (use the player below or download the MP3):
