Kevin Bowyer to perform Peter Tranchell's 1958 Sonata for Organ May 28th 2025

We're pleased to learn that Kevin Bowyer will perform Peter Tranchell's 1958 Sonata for Organ on Wednesday May 28th 2025, in the University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel Organ Recital Series. The recital begins at 1.10pm.

Friends of Kevin will know that he's recently moved to Crocken, a cottage at the southern end of the Mull of Kintyre, where repairing the Hauptwerk for practice had to wait in line behind epic renovations of the cottage. Meanwhile Kevin's also been devoting much of his energy to his more recent career as an author, and making frequent 4 hours trips by bus for work at the University. Will this leave time for the 2 or 3 hours he will possibly need to master the Tranchell Sonata, we wonder ;-)
